Dear Soul on the Other Side of the Screen,

Have you heard the saying, "They tried to bury us. They didn't know we were seeds?"

This quote inspires me with the feeling of our individual and collective resilience. It reminds me that even in the midst of the challenges and trials of our lives, inevitably, we will rise again. We activate an innate intelligence and cosmic companionship when we align with the true original intent, the seed, of our being.

If you imagine the purpose of your incarnation, what do you see? Can you hear your soul voice cut through the anxiety of mental chatter and cultural pressure and meditate on the tender truth that resonates in your bones?

Across time and culture, humans have asked the questions: where did we come from, why are we here, and where do we go after this life?

In a modern mechanized world, the ensouled enchantment that we're all born with can be lost in lieu of linear longings. We can lose the power of our perception to see our synchronistic timing that is just right. We can also lose the power of our intention to co-create with the star seed inside of us, the light that illuminates the path home we are all walking on. While we can forget, we can also remember. We're fully capable of nurturing ourselves to our most honest expression, as tender gardeners of the soul.

Tending a garden offers many metaphors that are equally helpful for nourishment of your inner life. The first step is to have good soil, a good foundation. Often you need compost to regenerate, releasing heavy energy from your past and integrating its lessons for greater wholeness. Next, it's time to plant a seed, exerting your freedom to choose what you would like to grow in partnership with the earth and with spirit. Once the seed is planted, it needs attention in the form of water. It needs the light of the sun to inspire its courage to rise up and break through the soil ceiling. It also needs protection. Weeds of distraction need to be removed, the things that suck energy life force away from what we truly desire. The whole process takes time. Some seeds grow quickly; others may have a longer cycle. Trust is required. This is where the tenderness is.

When you look at yourself, what seed of potential lives inside you? When you look at your life like a garden, where can you be a more tender gardener? When you look at our world like a garden, where can you offer your attention to support it? I ask these questions because it seems as if the universe is perfectly aligned to help each of us answer them during this upcoming New Moon in Cancer and the beginning of eclipse season.

Our Qoya resident astrologer Virginia Rosenberg shares:

The New Moon in Cancer on July 2, 2019 (3:16pm EST) is a Total Solar Eclipse. Eclipses are turning points; times when we walk through the gates of destiny. This month is a portal of everlasting change. Fault lines and fractures exposed. Emotional trenches of cavernous grace. Feel it. Hold it. Hug it. Follow instinct. This Solar Eclipse brings powerful new beginnings. Beginnings that are also endings. Beginnings that are as ancient and familiar as remembering. We have been here before. Everything in existence is already within us, encoded inside cellular memory. What does remembering feel like? When we remember, we can create. Fault lines can be changed into garden rows. Cracks in our integrity can be fortified and made sustainable. This is a Moon for the Matriarch. The Mother-Child bond that is essential to the health of all life. We were children once. We were tiny seeds. Seeds on a 4.5 billion year old parent planet who feeds us, bathes us, gives us shelter. Seeds in the blessed dark belly of our Mother, and tiny in the belly of her Mother before that. We are still children. Lineage-carriers. Blood-bearers. We are the seeds. New Moons are for planting seeds of intention. Sow seeds of support. Sow seeds of protection and security. Sow seeds that meet needs. Sow seeds of making it through. Sow seeds to grow food for the soul. Nourish and nurture the seed that is yourself, and all that you hold most dear. Why are we here? In defiance of logic, we belong here. This is our home. We belong to it. Our bodies know why we are here. Our bones know the way through. Listen to the innate wisdom calling us back home.

To dance with this energy and nurture the seeds of wisdom that live inside of you, Virginia and I invite you to do the Cancer Movement Ritual from our co-created Embodied Astrology course that helps you build a personal relationship with each sign of the zodiac and embody astrology on a deeper level, not only intellectually but in your cells. Rather than relying on outside sources and interpretations to engage with the cosmos, you consult your body as your ultimate astrologer.

Explore how embodying the archetypical energy of Cancer you can merge with the unique moment of this time.

I will be leading the Kripalu Qoya retreat this week and dancing right there with you!

May the seeds we plant grow with love,
Rochelle

Sunday, July 14, 5pm-6:30pm: Trusting Your Inner Wisdom

A common thread of doubt prevents many of us from following the intuitive voice in our bodies because we don't value it as wisdom and may not recognize our body’s messages as sacred. Your body’s wisdom, your intuitive knowing, is your inner divinity talking to you – whether you call that source Buddha, Jesus, Mary, Krishna, or another sacred name. You are the intermediary between heaven and earth, between the formless and form, between chaos and calm, and your body is the temple that houses that sacred flame within you. Activate your body in this class to deepen your trust in the inner wisdom that lives inside you so it can live through you!

Sunday, August 4, 5pm-6:30pm: The Wild Power of Self Love

It’s simpler than you think. You just have to be you. Here. In present time. You don’t have to chase all the karma chameleons from the past or the fantasies of the future. What does it feel like in the moments when you get to just be yourself and be loved for that? That wild and powerful place where the well of your self-love overflows, and you know you are more than enough. Let's go there through movement.
