I'm a chocoholic, nature-loving dancer. Sometimes combining all three at the same time if I can :) I'm lucky enough to live in the beautiful, rural Kent countryside with my lovely partner and dog. I lived through a particularly difficult couple of years recently and then Qoya came a' calling, and it honestly felt like I could finally see a way home, back to me. I love being creative with my hands. I enjoy visualising my ideas and making them real. I am a trained chocolatier and worked professionally for many years, so not only can I enjoy creating art, but I can eat it too! I have always danced for fun and often just because it felt right, since I can remember. I studied dance with drama over 20 years ago and since then, I've made sure movement has always been an important part of my life no matter what else is going on. Movement means so much to me; it truly is a detrimental medicine in my life. My experiences of intuitive movement have grown with me. It brings me such joy, healing and power. I can't imagine being without it.

When did you take your first Qoya class? Just before my birthday in August 2020, I took a wonderful Qoya class online with lovely Kate Taylor. It honestly felt like I had found the missing piece of my puzzle. I signed up to the Teacher Training straight away, and I haven't looked back. Thank you Kate!

What does it mean for you to teach Qoya? For me to teach Qoya means an ever deepening connection to sisterhood. It means women empowering women through authenticity, love, joy and support. As I continue to look for answers within and practice searching for the innate wisdom and truth that I know is in my own body to guide me, I feel it is crucial to share this portal and the Qoya philosophy with all women. It is a secret that should never be kept! Empowering more and more women to forget less and less that they are wise, wild and free, I believe equals a more balanced and happy humankind and planet :)

What is your favorite song to dance to right now? Right now 'Call On Me' by Starley (remix) feels amazing in my body every time I dance to it. It fills my heart up with such an excited feeling of hope.

What book has inspired you on the path to embodying the feminine? Many books have inspired in many ways but the one, that surprises me a little to have popped into my head as I answer this was 'Untamed' by Glennon Doyle. I found her raw honesty inspirational and refreshing.

What would you tell someone who is thinking of taking a Qoya class for the first time? Do it! If you're thinking about it, some part of you is calling for it. Answer that call and trust your body's request. With as much honesty and truth as you can, explore that part of you that is curious to know and feel what Qoya is. It might just be the medicine you didn't even know you needed. Or in fact, the medicine you've always been searching for.
