Dear dancers on the path,

This Full Moon email is written for the part of your heart that can hold the wild paradoxes of this world with an impenetrable sense of love, truth, beauty, and faith in justice.

As challenging as things may be internally or externally, is there a part of you that feels the strength of your own backbone to not back down from the integrity of your essence?

As blessed as you may feel in your life, are you also aware of the tender balance that holds it all together? With awareness of the delicate fragile nature of life, are you willing to trade your mental fear of the future for an enhanced sense of savoring of the gifts of each moment, right now?

The real question is: are you willing to heal? Are you ready to surrender your trauma, loss, sorrow, anger, fear, hopelessness, and judgments to make space for growth? For love?

A dear friend of mine just had a beautiful baby girl. I asked her how she's doing, and she shared, “It’s been really hard, but the amazingness always wins.”

My prayer is that in each of our lives, we're able to remember this aspect of our soul that always holds the balance of truth in favor of love’s beauty.

If the psyche strives to balance itself, soothing the perspective of pain with the balm of gratitude, will you let it?

If the body relishes the invitations to relax its nervous system and return to a place of calm, will you slow down enough to allow your body to receive the pleasure it needs to soften the hard edges of tension clenching in protection?

If the soul sees a light of hope and possibility beaming through the cracks of transformation in your life, will you gather the courage to grow towards it?

This Full Blue Moon seems to want to know.

Our resident astrologer, Virginia Rosenberg, shares:

The Full Moon in Libra on March 31, 2018 (8:36am EST) is the second Blue Moon of the year-to-date. March opened and closed with full moons. The astrology of 2018 has been full force since the year began! This moon is a paradox that says hurry up and slow down.

“Nature never hurries, and yet everything is done.”

- Lao Tzu

Libra represents balance, peace, and harmony. We’ve been through some big changes in the last few days; revelations and awakenings. Values and resources are reinventing themselves. We are unlearning and becoming re-educated about life. We are called to show up with integrity and willingness. To use our will is to become active - to move through, overcome challenge, and rise. Our purpose is not only innate to us as individuals; it is informed and constructed by the needs of our community and habitat. What is needed now? What is important? Conserve and redirect your energies towards the most essential. Perhaps you know what you want and how to get there, but something stands in the way. Take pause. A deliberate plan of action is taking shape. This Libra moon is about restoring balance, peace, justice, and fairness. Each individual is needed in their strength, their courage, and their version of leadership to make peace a reality. Breathe into the fierce love that you are.

Qoya classes are based on the idea that through movement, we remember. We remember our essence is wise, wild and free. In the spirit of Libra’s archetype of balance, I’d love to offer the invitation to embody how much we can also remember through rest.

Here is a movement ritual for Well-Rested Warriors that invites you to slowly, gently begin to rest into your essence and into your day. Since this moon encourages you to conserve and redirect your energy towards the most essential, ride that supportive wave of this time by using this ritual as your ally.

This past week at the Qoya Collective Retreat in Costa Rica, we have been dancing with the call to create, to be of service, to align with our souls' path, and honoring the need for rest to do so. Not only physical rest by napping or sleeping, but to explore the ways in which the body restores itself and returns to homeostasis. Not only mental rest, but to retire the analytical abuse of self criticism. Not only emotional rest, healing the painful challenges we face, but to expand our capacity to courageously cultivate peace inside of ourselves in our world. Not only trusting our spirit, our soul path, and our essence, but resting in it. Taking refuge in the essence of life itself.

In Costa Rica when you pass people, they smile and say, “Pura Vida." It means pure life, similar to the concept of aloha. As the seasons shift, time changes, and we (hopefully) evolve, may we be willing to heal and align ourselves with the presence of pure life.

With a prayer of gratitude, excitement, and love,

Rochelle
