Daring to Rest is a global tribe helping women take back rest. Qoya is based on the idea that through movement, we remember the essence of who we are. We remember the physical sensation of truth in our bodies and reclaim the idea that what resonates in our bodies is trustworthy to follow.
Do you experience more nourishing thoughts from moments of deep relaxation or stress?
Are you more inspired by spiritual isolation or by being in groups of like-hearted people?
Do you prefer to make your life decisions with clarity or confusion?
Is your preference to rise in this world with brute force or going with the flow?
This workshop is an opportunity for you to explore your relationship to movement and rest as medicine. In moments of deep embodied presence, you gain a deeper access to your soul's voice and your most sincere truth.
With the support of doing these practices in a group, we’re inspired by one another's courage, resilience, wisdom, and creative power to honor each life passage by committing to nourish ourselves right where we are.
Karen and Rochelle have both found that when women set the intention to more deeply connect with the wisdom inside of their bodies through movement and rest, they feel empowered to feel their inner guidance and act on it.
As we align more and more with our truth, we have the opportunity to experience ourselves in a flow state. This doesn't mean we don't experience challenges; it means that our biggest challenge isn't that we went against ourselves.
If you feel the call to explore dancing and resting into the theme of Women Rising Rooted, we invite you to join us for guided movement and deep rest to remember what's most helpful, supportive, and nourishing to you. As a way to prepare or to integrate your experience after, we encourage you to explore the book If Women Rose Rooted: A Journey to Authenticity and Belonging by Sharon Blackie.
