Dear Dreamers and Doers,

You know the saying...Patience pays.

I just made up another one...Patience PRAYS.

What do you do when you want something, not indulgently but from a place of needing it SO badly. The perfect home. The perfect partner. The perfect job. The perfect a/b/c/x/y/z. We know that honoring everything has it's fair share of challenges or imperfections, but still, we yearn for the things that are puzzle piece perfect for us.

In the midst of our self-discovery and service, our selfishness and our selflessness, there's a time to press pause and simply wait, moment by moment without expectation, without striving to manipulate or force, to simply rest into the stillness of exactly what is, exactly the way it is.

In Qoya, we talk a lot about movement as prayer, because once you feel fully in your body, it's easier to sense the subtlety as you also pray in your stillness. You know you're doing it right when you release your strategy. Then, you cross into the threshold of being and feel that being is enough.

It takes spiritual maturity to trust the timing of things, to loosen the reigns and allow ourselves to be held in something bigger than our mind can conceive. Your heart can trust with your eyes wide open. Patience isn't necessarily passive and withdrawn, but instead, is the courageous ability to simply look everything in the eye without needing to react, but continuing to hold the complexity of a situation or a feeling with love.

I was curious...what is the actual definition of Patience? Here's what I found...Patience: the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.

It's a softening. An allowing. A trusting. A being. An invitation to awakening. It's also the invitation of this full moon.

Our resident astrologer Virginia Rosenberg shares that this Full Moon in Pisces (3:05pm) is a vigil. It is also a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse. The last round of eclipses took place in March 2016. These brought a huge release and letting go. A lot of emotional baggage has been cleared since then. Many of us have strengthened ourselves in ways we never dreamed were possible. Exciting new opportunities await. A daring step forward. "Vigil" is defined as a time when one keeps awake and watchful at a time where there is usually sleep. The term used especially in regards to a religious observance. What does it mean to be "vigilant?" Attentive, observant, alert, ready-to-act. And a "vigilante" is "a self-appointed doer of justice." A watcher. An ethical enforcer. A superhero! We can assert ourselves in ways that promote growth, committed to personal freedom, tolerance, and passionate expression. We can remain relaxed and soft outside, but firm and bright within; sharp in our perceptions, and perfectly clear in our swift, decisive actions. We can trust that the slower actions can stem from a devotion to patience, and that all things meant to be will be in perfect time. We can remain strong in our belief in Love, which is truly what we are. As we remain linked to love, we allow for the earnest will of divine to dance through us. The urge to reach our full potential is our zeal. Spirit wants to dance earnestly, and in ambitious authenticity. Be vigilant for loving evolution!

As an invitation to come more into your stillness, I invite you to do this free 5 minute video with Alternate Nostril Breathing. Notice how you feel before this breathing video and then notice how you feel after. It's important to find the skills and tools that are effective in calming your nervous system and bringing you back to a place of patience, of prayer, and of vigil. Of sealing the sacred into your psyche. Practice your ability to feel movement in your stillness after the breathing exercise is complete.

All we need is just a little patience,

Rochelle
