Teaching Qoya is my commitment to spread the love through my own dance expression and co-expression in the intuitive movement with others. We have it all in us and our body knows exactly what it needs in any moment, as long as we keep on tuning into our inner knowing (intuition) we cannot go wrong. As in Qoya - there is no wrong or right - if it feels good - it means you are doing it right. And that is what I stand for - the diversified experience, the sharing of our uniqueness, when we join in the movement of embodying our: wise, wild and free essence.
I would love to introduce Qoya to all who are drawn to express themselves freely through intuitive movement and long for re-discovering their powerful feminine essence, longing to get to know themselves and feel more of who they are as they practice this embodied movement.
Qoya - means God(dess) - and serves to bring this beautiful, powerful, confident energy in us through remembering in movement.
And I am... Iga - earthly mother, unschooler, sensual dancer, discoverer of spiritual truth, free spirit... abundant and fiery burning woman on her path.
When did you take your first Qoya class? In January 2017, when I first enrolled on Qoya Intro online course, after I heard and answered the calling to become a Qoya teacher.
What does it mean for you to teach Qoya? It means I can channel my love and passion for dance and its intuitive expression into my daily life and the ripple effect of co-creating and diving deeper and deeper with each class with other women is so apparent - my heart sings louder and clearer as I deepen my connection with Qoya and her gifts on my journey and her influence of more reverent and aligned mature Feminine lifestyle I started to lead when I finalised my training in June 2018.
What is your favorite song to dance to right now? Keala Settle - "This is Me"
What book has inspired you on the path to embodying the feminine? Burning Woman by Lucy H. Pearce
What would you tell someone who is thinking of taking a Qoya class for the first time? It is life-changing movement practice that will allow you to get to know yourself better, feel more in your body and feel empowered to be more of who you are.
