Masculine and feminine.

We all contain both energies inside of us.

Masculine power calling us further into the outer world through action.
Feminine intuition calling us deeper inwards for reflection.

Every person, every soul, has the essence of the
masculine and the feminine within them.

As every human begins the journey of embodiment, of creation,
is it possible that the merging of masculine and feminine essences
is also how our spirits can come to life?

Let’s find out.

What happens when you explore the balance of complementary opposites inside of you?

Are you willing to stretch yourself to experience
more of your feminine and more of your masculine
to find your own sense of center?

Imagine a life of true balance…

Not a static ideal of “work/life balance,” but the cyclical balance of nature.

Like the day and the night, you feel both love and fear.

Like the sun and the moon, you embrace both consistency and change.

Like hot and cold, there is a time for action and a time for rest.

Like fire and water, you have both an individual and a collective experience.

Like earth and sky, you embody both the masculine and feminine energies to support life.

By understanding both essences and how they function,
you can build conscious structures in your life that create space for freedom.

In this emerging conversation for individuals, relationships, communities, and culture, this retreat invites you to explore your relationship to the masculine and the feminine through the movement of your own body.

This is not a lecture series on who you should be or how to speak to the opposite sex.

This is an opportunity to get into your body in both masculine and feminine approaches
through Jacy teaching primal movement that builds strength and endurance with a mindful approach
and Rochelle teaching movement as metaphor to explore greater expression in your body.

In the same way that you use words,
how can you find more language in the way you move?

Both masculine and feminine teachings are an invitation to expand, balance,
and remember the part of yourself that goes beyond gender.

You will find the courage to explore the entire spectrum available to you
and find where your center is, knowing that it changes with each moment.

The co-ed structure of this retreat will encourage healing.

We’ve all had a rough go with someone from the other sex at some point.

It could have been a boss, a parent, an ex, a brother, or a sister.

We created this retreat as a co-ed experience to facilitate a return to love in your heart, for an opportunity to forgive and let go of the past so you can be more open to give and receive love in the present.

In other words, it's time to let the old stories go.

We offer space for forgiveness so you can release emotional charge from your past.

Forgiveness that will set you free.

When we gather together in conscious intention to have as much fun as possible,
create authentic relationships by being honest and present,
move in ways that make our bodies come alive,
watch daily sunsets at one of the most gorgeous beaches in the world,
eat all organic local healthy food,
and perform rituals that connect us to our lineage,

we naturally heal.

We will work with the shamanic archetypes of the Medicine Wheel through the week, and--

Like a snake sheds its skin, we shed layers of shame, doubt, and fear.

Like a jaguar, we remember how to trust ourselves more deeply.

Like a hummingbird who feeds on sweet nectar, we live a nourishing lifestyle for a week, and get inspired to take home the habits that give us energy.

We take time to dream, not only for our own lives, but for a collaborative commitment to the masculine and feminine embodied in the world that helps us better understand and connect with every other person we encounter.

The end result is confidence,
feeling rooted in the truth of who you are
with the courage to express yourself.

You will have the physical experience of the sacred marriage
of your inner masculine and feminine - feeling both worthy and trustworthy.

You will feel whole again.

Rochelle Schieck is the founder of Qoya, a movement system based on the idea that through movement, we remember. We remember our essence is wise, wild, and free. She has spent the last 15+ years traveling the world as a student and teacher to North and South America, Europe, Africa, India, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. In the last 10+ years, she has led over 4,000 movement classes, facilitated hundreds of private sessions and taken women on over 20 retreats to 6 different continents (next stop, Antarctica!). In her movement classes, expect to sweat, relax, and experience guidance from your own inner validation, finding clarity and feeling the physical sensation of truth in your body.

Jacy Cunningham was born and raised in Washington, DC. He followed his dream into professional football, and an injury redirected his passion for the physical world to training athletes of all sports and all levels. Under the tutelage of Myron Flowers, premier trainer to NFL stars Vernon Davis (San Francisco 49ers), Vontae Davis (Indianapolis Colts), and Muhammad Wilkerson (New York Jets), Jacy was able to learn the in's and out's of Sports Conditioning and overall Health and Wellness. With that knowledge, he created a movement style available to people of all fitness levels, designed to make you work like mad while stepping a foot or two outside of your comfort zone. Now residing in Eden, Utah, Jacy serves as the Summit Community’s In-House Fitness Instructor. In his movement classes, get prepared to step up and train like a pro.

In different ways, movement changed our lives,
and taught both of us a way to come back to the essence of who we are.

We’re here to show you how you can do the same.
