You’ve been thinking about it for awhile, haven’t you?

Signing up for a Qoya Retreat?

You think, “I want to take time for myself. To have a true break, but I can’t afford the time. The money. The hassle.”

But then you imagine the feeling of grass under your bare feet.
You can taste a cup of hot tea, and smell the fall air.
Your heart stirs at the possibility of meeting new friends that feel like they are part of your tribe.
You think maybe it’s not too late to restore faith in yourself, others and life.

You are ready to feel better, to feel good in your body.

On this retreat, you will:

Remember Your Essence. Qoya is based on the idea that through movement, we remember.  Through daily qoya movement, gratitude rituals, fire ceremonies , community connection, pilgrimage to this sacred land, nourishing healthy food and the quiet of the mountains and forest you will remember your true essence as wise, wild, and free. More than remember, you will FEEL your true essence as truth in your body.

Reconnect to Heart and Hope. No one is exempt from the human journey and its challenges and initiations. Resilience of spirit and endurance of heart are required, and it’s easy to lose your connection to hope. This weekend will restore you again and teach you tools for staying connected.

Experience Balance. Despite the fact that we live in a naturally cyclical world, we neglect our natural rhythms and acquiesce to the cultural momentum of more and faster. Take a weekend in the woods, watch the fall leaves change color. As each leaf drops with the wind, see what else you can let go of as you bring balance back to your life.

"To me, Qoya has become a necessity as a way to infuse my spirit with happiness. Gathering together as women to create a sacred circle that forms the container where we practice yoga, dance, and sensual movement with the intention to do what feels good is an amazing medicine."

Life doesn’t have to be so hard. Really.

You can have more experiences of flow - of ease, grace, and synchronicity with winks from the divine as affirmations that you are on the right track.

You are not alone. Far from it. The sacred journey you are on is simply asking you to follow the voice from within. Although it requires a leap of faith, that is where your flow lives, and it’s easy to find. Really.

If you feel the call to come on this retreat, follow it and imagine it can be easy!

COST + REGISTER

This retreat is for women only. All ages and movement levels are welcome.

Your all-inclusive retreat includes 3 days and 2 nights of:

  • Qoya classes and rituals
  • delicious nutritious vegetarian food

What’s not included:

  • Transportation to Menla. It is easily accessible from New York City and Boston by bus or car. Check out the full directions here.
  • Initiation Training Fee (you can add this on at checkout)
  • Retreat Tuition!

Cost: Pay-What-You-Can Tuition + Room and Board
This is our lowest priced retreat of the year. It is pay-what-you-can in order to make Qoya accessible to more students, and to introduce a new paradigm of energetic rather than monetary exchange.

The cost of registration is solely for room and board. At the end of the weekend, you are invited to receive the retreat portion as a gift, pay what feels right in your heart, or simply pay what you can as an authentic energy exchange for how the weekend was valuable to you.

Our only request is that you listen to the voice in your heart, then give the amount that feels right as an energetic exchange for the Qoya classes, rituals, and time organized together in community.

Frequently Asked Questions

+ What time of day does the course start, and what time does it finish?

It starts with dinner at 6pm on the 28th, and ends at 1pm on the 30th! We recommend that you arrive around 4pm on the 28th to have time to settle in before dinner.

+ Is JFK the closest airport to Menla? What's the best way to get to Menla from JFK?

Yes! You can take a bus from Penn Station for $40 to Phoenicia (near Woodstock) on Adirondack Trailways: http://trailwaysny.com

+ Can you tell me more about the Initiation Teacher Training?

The training offered at this retreat is our second level of Qoya Teacher Training, the Initiation. You will need to complete the Intro to Qoya Online Training before you attend the retreat in order to participate. To be a Qoya Certified teacher, all the 3 course levels must be completed (Intro, Initiation, and Intensive), and you must teach a class for a Qoya Teacher Trainer, either at the Intensive retreat or afterwards either live or via video. To be listed as a Qoya teacher and promoted on Qoya’s various websites, you must also sign the Qoya Teacher Training Agreement.

+ I am interested in the teacher training itself, but I’m not sure if I want to teach. Is that okay?

If you are a regular Qoya participant, Teacher Training is an amazing way to bring more structure and inspiration to your personal practice, and to go deeper into the fundamentals of Qoya. Similarly, if you are new to Qoya and wish to dive deep with the practices, teacher training is a wonderful way to submerge yourself in all things wise wild and free.

+ I have more questions. Who do I contact?
