Ileana is originally from the border towns of El Paso and Juarez. She is a "bridger". She moved to Austin in 2001 where she met her husband. Her first Qoya teacher was his amazing and beautiful cousin. She fell in love at first dance, really at home, and was called to share this experience with others. She is also a mommy of two princesses, 5 year old Jana Ileana, and, 3 year old Soli Ana. She has many hobbies involving staying active and creative. "God, Creator, Great Spirit, The Light is always first in my life."

What does it mean for you to teach Qoya? Full body, mind, and soul of our true essence empowerment! A ceremony and communion with ourselves and our divinity.

What would you tell someone who is thinking of taking a Qoya class for the first time? It's not about what it looks like but how it feels. It's a fun girls dance party.
